Volunteer Day
This is your DRI Foundation at work—creating meaningful connections in our communities and engaging members of the resilience field in our mission—with special volunteer opportunities in our conference host city.
This year at DRI2027, we are partnering with Mission Arlington | Mission Metroplex, a community center dedicated to serving local people united by a shared commitment to serving others. It is driven by compassion, strengthened through relationships, and inspired by the belief that every person deserves dignity, hope, and purpose.
What makes Mission Arlington unique is its people. Volunteers, staff, and community partners come together with a common purpose: to meet practical needs, build meaningful connections, and create opportunities for individuals and families to thrive. Whether you're looking to give back, connect with others, or simply spend your time making a difference, this is your chance to be part of something meaningful.
Option 1: Give Time. Change Lives.
Saturday, February 20, 2027
8:30 AM - 11:30 AM CST
This volunteer option includes stocking the community food pantry, sorting food donations, and keeping the pantry ready to serve those in need. You will organize clothing donations by sorting out clothing, shoes, and accessories, so individuals and families can easily find what they need. This option also includes assisting with clerical work to support the office staff. Every hour you give helps strengthen the community — and every volunteer makes an impact.
Option 2: Action Meets Compassion.
Saturday, February 20, 2027
8:30 AM - 11:30 AM CST
If you enjoy staying active, this volunteer opportunity is for you! Help create a clean and welcoming environment by maintaining the property through landscaping, debris removal, and general cleanup. Volunteers may also assist with building repairs and facility maintenance as projects arise. This role involves physical, hands-on work to meet the needs of the community center. Every hour you give helps strengthen the community — and every volunteer makes an impact.
You will be able to select your Volunteer Day activity when you register for the conference.
