Senior Business Analyst for Cash Business Continuity and Communications, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco

Andrea Abrams, CBCP, is Senior Business Analyst for Cash Business Continuity and Communications for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco where she has been employed for 23 years. Her responsibilities include protecting the stability of our banking system by collaborating with the Fed’s Cash leadership to ensure that the Fed’s Cash operations in the nine westernmost states are resilient and capable of withstanding a major or minor business continuity event.

Abrams hosts the DRI webinar series Profiles in Resilience, featuring interviews with compelling and inspirational global leaders in the resilience community. She also represents the financial industry on our DRI professional practices workgroup, a national group of volunteers dedicated to ensuring the professional practices continue to reflect the evolving resilience industry.

Abrams earned a Master’s degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University, a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Spanish from the University of California, Berkeley, and in addition to her CBCP is a Prosci certified Change Management Practitioner. She and her brother co-own The BosNet Family  LLC, a media production and consulting firm.

Andrea is committed to community service and has held several appointed roles including both Library Commissioner and Commissioner on the Status of Women for the City of Pasadena, California; vice president of her homeowners association; and volunteer with Buffalo Field Campaign completing the annual census of wild bison at Yellowstone National Park.
