James MacDonnell


James MacDonnell is a risk management, business continuity and crisis management professional with over 20 years of experience helping clients prepare for and respond to crises and emerging risks. He has designed enterprise risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, vendor risk, and crisis management programs in support of non-profit, commercial, national security and military clients. MacDonnell has experience providing crisis response support during real world events across multiple threat vectors including cyber-attacks, product recall, extortion, workplace violence, natural disasters and corporate misconduct events. MacDonnell is frequently sought as a guest speaker at conferences and guest lecturer for top tier universities.

MacDonnell currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington DC Chapter of the Association of Continuity Professionals (ACP).  MacDonnell is an advisor to the ISO TC292 Security & Resilience Panel which is tasked with developing the International Standards for Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Emergency Management.
