Jim Kinsman


Jim Kinsman is a Senior Director in the information security and risk management organization reporting to McKesson’s Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer. Kinsman leads McKesson’s enterprise business resilience program and has responsibility for directing a team of crisis management, business continuity and disaster recovery professionals who work diligently every day to harmonize enterprise operational resilience efforts across all business units and corporate functions. He also serves on the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (H-ISAC) Business Resilience Committee and the Physical Security Working Group.

Prior to joining McKesson, Kinsman led company and division-level business continuity programs for TD Ameritrade and Raytheon. In those roles, he was responsible for all facets of the program to include project and program management, risk management, governance, regulatory compliance, testing and exercise management. He has experience developing and leading crisis management, incident management, disaster recovery, business continuity, training, and exercise processes and programs. He is a former U.S. Army Captain, serving in the field artillery, armor, and signal corps branches, and has worked in the aerospace and defense, financial services, healthcare, and telecommunications industries.

Kinsman has 25 years of experience in project and program management and 20 years of experience in business continuity management. He has presented on the topics of crisis management, business continuity, disaster recovery, program management, and risk management at conferences, forums, and educational venues. Most recently he presented at the 2023 H-ISAC Fall Americas Summit.

Kinsman has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, is a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) through DRI International and is a Project Management Professional (PMP) through Project Management Institute. He is also a member of the Order of the Sword and Shield National Honor Society.
