Ray Seid has been with McKesson just short of eight years. For the last two years, he has been focused on delivering business continuity services for McKesson Business Units company wide — implementing governance, BIA(s) and recovery plans. He leads a team of internal BC consultants focused on delivery. Prior to this he was allocated to a specific BU as Program Manager responsible for the McKesson Financial Center’s (MFC) business continuity program. The program focused on functions required to support activation and management of MFC Business Continuity Planning in the event of a disaster at the Las Colinas, Texas facility. These include emergency response team activation, damage assessment, triggering process, declaration criteria and other support functions.
Before joining McKesson, he worked as a Senior Consultant for HP’s Business Continuity and Recovery Services. While at HP, he worked as a Service Continuity Manager (SCM) for several Fortune 500 companies. His SCM roles and responsibilities included but were not limited to client disaster recovery project management, risk assessment, application impact analysis, strategy implementation, and exercise management. In addition, he managed plan creation for application and infrastructure support functions. Ray started his career spending two decades at UPS where he worked on overall business continuity management governance for UPS IT and UPS Supply Chain Solutions. He is also an active volunteer member of the Alpharetta, Georgia Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and is also a DRI Certified Instructor. Ray holds the DRI Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Certified Business Continuity Lead Auditor (CBCLA), Associate Risk Management Professional (ARMP) and Health Care Provider (CHPCP) certifications. He previously served as Chair on the Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) International Commission.
