Wade Richmond

CEO, CISO ToGo

Wade Richmond is a cybersecurity expert and is the founder and CEO of CISO ToGo. Prior to founding CISO ToGo, Richmon had most recently worked in cybersecurity leadership roles for BJ’s Wholesale Clubs, Ahold USA, Sensata Technologies, Brooks/Eckerd Pharmacies, GTECH Corporation, Citizens Financial Group, and CVS Pharmacies. Through these leadership roles, he has been responsible for providing leadership and direction to all cybersecurity and IT risk efforts associated with information technology applications, communications, and computing services. As such, Richmond functioned as a liaison on matters of corporate information security to the senior management team, business unit stakeholders, vendors, and internal audit, in order to identify, prioritize, and set security initiatives and standards. He was responsible for the development and management of corporate-wide security policies and programs, as well as the planning and execution of an enterprise-wide IT risk management strategy.

In addition to his experience in cybersecurity, Richmond has more than 33 years of experience in the IT field, inclduing application development, complex field implementations, data center operations, infrastructure, technology risk management, and various aspects of technical support.

Richmond holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bryant University, in Smithfield, RI. He is a member of the New England Disaster Recovery Information Exchange (NEDRIX), a Board member of the Chief Information Security Officer Executive Summit (Boston, MA chapter), serves on multiple product and industry advisory boards, and holds the following relevant certifications: Global Information Security Officer (GISO), and ITIL Service Management Foundation Certification.

He has been married to his wife, Diane, for over 33 years, and lives in Pascoag, RI. He has two adult daughters, three granddaughters, and one grandson. Apart from family time, he has spent much of his “spare time” working with teens as Youth Minister at multiple churches.
